Weekend Update (08/21-08/23)

Friday night kicked off our weekend with the home and season opener for Heritage Christian regular season football. Without boring you with details, Heritage squeaked by 60-0 over Elwood (click here for more details). A storm blew in, and it got a little wet for a while. My amazing wife held an umbrella over me and the camera while I filmed the game. I finished game film and got home around 1:00AM to a sleeping Erin! :)

Saturday, the Wagoner’s were separated by events. I had a bachelor party/all day event for my friend Aaron. Things started out with golf. The highlight for me was chipping out of the sand bunker, hitting Aaron in the leg with my ball and the ball bouncing directly into the cup! After golf we went back to one of the guys house and fished for a while (I caught a monster large mouth: see pic). The evening ended with grilling out and a little Texas Hold Em.
In the meantime, Erin had a baby shower for her friend Meggan. Jacob went along to the shower, fully equipped with a Captain Underpants book to read and his PSP. After the shower, Erin and Jacob had greeting duty at church. Thanks to Jacob for filling in for me. He enjoyed wearing my name tag and tried doing embarrassing things to taint my image (his favorite tactic was making loud fart noises)! After church, they headed to Target and Penn Station for dinner.
Sunday, the Wagoners were all reunited! We did our regular household chores and then went to dinner at our friends Lisa and Kyle’s house. Erin and I picked up Hot Box pizza (delicious pizza and Erin supporting one of her KSM clients) and headed to the Curry’s. Their daughter Kennedy is 2 and they just had a baby in July named Chace (in pictures from a previous post). We had a really good time visiting with them. They are really good friends and we never run out of fun stories to share!
That’s it for our weekend update! We downloaded the new Colbie Caillat album from our Russian music website over the weekend, and it’s really good. It’s called Breakthrough and comes out tomorrow, Tuesday, August 25th.
